Anika Rose is a famous American actor and singer. Her best-known role is as Tiana The first Disney African American Princess. In 2011, she was honoured as a Disney Legend. Rose starred as Lorrell Robinson on the Oscar Award-winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born September 6 in 1972) is a vocalist and American actor. The most famous of her roles was her character Tiana, the Disney Princess, who was one of the very first African American Princess to appear in The Princess and the Frog (2009). The Disney Company named her a Legend in 2011. Her most well-known roles include role as Lorrell in Dreamgirls which was an Academy Award winning film (2006) and LaVerne in Starz's Power. She is also known for her performances in theatre particularly for her starring roles as Emmie Thibodeaux, in Caroline or Change, the Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Musical. Also, she starred as Beneatha Younger in the Broadway adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) where she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.
